Halloween Alert

Lately I have had overwhelming urges to start creating Halloween Decor.  Don't ask me why, I have never been a huge Halloween decorator.  Today I ran into the Dollar Tree to buy some tissue paper and did the usual store scope.  You know the one where you stalk each aisle daring someone to get in your way looking for something you can transform, oh you don't do that?  Um, yeah, me either.

As I was heading to the wrapping paper section the Halloween decor seriously Halloween decor in July caught my eye and I couldn't help but look.  And I spied some of the cutest headstones ever...Eeek!

How cute will those skeleton hands and skulls look in my apothecary jars?

Love them!

I had to scoop these up today, if they didn't have them in October I would be devastated!

I was so excited about my new decor that I totally forgot about my tissue paper and had to go back later!

  1. Kenzie...I fall for you and your blog more and more with every post :) Why you ask? 1) I heart Dollar Tree, 2) I bought those same EXACT Halloween decorations last year...early also, 3) You stalk the aisles of Dollar Tree in hope for a new project and/or inspiration (I have been known to do this at least once a week...sh! don't judge!) and 4) I think you are hilar!

Happy Weekend! I too am looking forward to fall...it's right around the corner. I even made a wreath (items purchased from Dollar Tree) last weekend covered in fall leaves. Great minds think alike!

  8. My first thought was, "Wow! She's really jumping the gun with this Halloween stuff." Then I looked in the mirror . . . and realized that thought was coming from me . . . the gal who has been preparing for Christmas since January. ;) You go girl!!!! You are going to have one amazing Halloween celebration!

  9. can't wait to see what you do with those fun decorations.
I am anxious for fall to arrive, especially for the cooler temps (it's supposed to be at least 100 today where I am). And I love the colors, etc for fall. I am not big into the creepy decor though...I stick with the pumpkins, leaves, etc.
hhhmmm...now you've got me thinking about how I'll be decorating ;)

  11. Wowsers! You hauled it in at Dollar Tree!! I do like the skulls the best, as they remind me of a large bead that Mr. Fine and I saw at the bead store the other day...I was tempted to buy it just out of weirdness (very unlike me to wear a skull) but then thought that my neck might fall over every time I wore the necklace -- it was sized like your skulls. I definitely like your jar idea better!!
