BCG's

Happy Tuesday!!

I thought everyone could maybe use a laugh today, so here goes....
Love my new glasses?!?!

Ha ha ha!
These are Ben's military issued glasses, aka BCG's.  What does BCG stand for?
Birth Control Glasses

Lucky for him he does not have to wear these.  Only if he chooses to.  I am hoping that he will leave them home, I can take the lenses out and use them to look smart at work!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

One of the Dumbest Smart People

I had to share my "dumbest smart person" experience today.  I had been at work for about 30 minutes when I get a phone call from one of our doctors.

Dr. - "I am not connected to the correct location today for my video conference."
Me - "Who are you supposed to be connected to?"
Dr. - "I don't know, but not this place"
Me - "Sir, I just checked the schedule and this is who your coordinator has you setup to connect to."
Dr. - "But this is not who I am supposed to be connected to!!"
Me - "Who do you think you are supposed to be having a video conference with today?"
Dr. - "I don't know, but you need to figure it out."
Me - "Excuse me?  Do I look like I have ESP?  Do I look like your secretary?!?"
Me - "You will need to contact your coordinator to figure out who you are supposed to be connecting to because according to the last email I received from her you are connected to the correct unit."
Dr. - "You need to call her and fix it."
Me - "Sir, you can kiss my a$$."
Me - "Sir, please call your coordinator and call us back and we will be happy to connect you to who you think you need to be conferencing with today."

And then he hung up on me.

Seriously?!?  You make who knows how much money and you expect me to have ESP and read your mind?  You are a Dr. and can prescribe medicine, but you don't know who you are supposed to be having a video conference with?  It's called professionalism, you don't hang up on people, I think you need to take a remedial professionalism class (we really offer this class to for people who get in trouble).  Dumbest smart person of the day.

p.s.  He was connected to the correct place from the get go.  Um, suck it Dr. MeanHead!

Hi!  I hope everyone has had a great weekend!  Thought I would catch up with what we did this weekend.  My friend Chalea and I took our kids to the Pioneer Days Parade in Florence which is about 15 minutes away from where we live.  It is the cutest town with tons and tons of amazing antique stores!

Ace, Asher, Piper, Taylor and Kielyn....it's impossible to get 4 toddlers to look at the camera at the same time or even at all!
He is so stinking cute!
We sat in front of one of the amazing antique stores and sitting right outside their front door was an old 12 pane window...looking really lonely.  Luckily Ben decided to show up last minute.  When he sat down, I didn't even say hi, I just told him that "I need the debit card."  He handed me the card and I said "watch the girls, I will be back in 5" and then I ran into the store.  And look at this....
forgot to flip the pic...sorry!
$20 dollars, um hello, wrap that sucker up!!  And what's even better is that it was 25% off.  Hello window for $16.  I think it was a steal!

Decent side
Disgusting :(  Luckily no one will ever see this side!
I spent nap time yesterday and today sanding, painting, sanding, sanding, painting and a little more sanding!  She is ready to hang!  I just don't know how I am going to hang it yet, but hopefully I can show you tomorrow what it looks like finished!

Today I went to Home Depot because I wanted to buy the new Dremel Trio, but when I got there I thought maybe I should just buy a jigsaw instead.  After standing in the same aisle for 30 minutes without being able to make up my mind I put everything up and headed home.  But not before I got some paint samples, because I have seen so many cute projects using paint samples so I thought I would try some of my own.
Normal people would only take 1 of each color right?

Not me, I stocked up.  Thank you Home Depot!

When It's Acceptable to Pick your Nose

When is it acceptable to pick your nose?  Never.....unless you are almost 2.

Here is the scene from 2 hours ago.
Taylor picking nose...
Me:  "Tay, why are you picking your nose?"
Taylor:  "Rock."
Me:  "You mean boogies?"
Taylor: "No, rock."

Normally I would have laughed at her, but since it's Taylor I decided to take a peek.

Um, are you kidding me?!?!

20 minutes later.....

Me:  "Tay, why are you picking your nose again?"
Taylor:  "Rock Mommy."
Me:  "Taylor Lynn are you serious?!?!"

This is what was shoved up her nose!  Not one, but two rocks!

Mechanical Pencil eraser to show how big the rocks were!!!!

Want to know how to get foreign objects out of your kids nose without having to take them to the Doctor or ER, and the only reason I know this is because my cousin's daughter shoved a BB up her nose and when he took her to the Dr. they showed him how to fix the problem!

1. Lay kiddo on the floor.
2.  Make kiddo open their mouth.
3.  Close the side of their nose that isn't filled with foreign object, i.e. rocks
4.  Cover their mouth with yours and blow!!
5.  Foreign object should be dislodged, if not repeat above steps.

I checked her nose with the ear-looker and it was clear!  Hopefully she learned her lesson!

Happy 9 o'clock Dance of Joy!!!

My Blogging Pet Peeve

One of my favorite parts about blogging is seeing everyone's crafty projects and reading about their every day lives.  I have been known to craft-lift projects on occasion.  But when I do borrow someone's idea, I make sure I add their name, the link back to their project and email or comment and let them know I am linking to their project in my post.

I don't mind if you borrow my ideas but I would really appreciate it if you would let me know.  One of my biggest blogging pet peeves is seeing my project on someones blog with no recognition.  Or I found this project here, and the "here" is the link back to my post.  Come on!!!  If you can take the time to make what I made and blog about it, you can take 1 minute and let me know you are linking back to my post!  For crying out loud you had to come to my blog to get the url of my post!

Thanks for letting me vent!  Please use my ideas if you like them but give credit where it is due if you blog about them, it's only nice!

Have you been fitted?

Bras, hate them or love them they are a necessity.  Personally I hated them, I think they were invented by men to torture us.  Did you notice I said hated?  Don't get me wrong I still don't love them but I am much happier after my sister forced me to go to Nordstroms and get properly fitted.

Google Images

Guess what, I was not wearing the correct bra size, according to the nice lady who helped me 90% of women are wearing the wrong bra size.  Holy cow!  I was not blessed in the chest department, my share of boobs was split between my sisters hate you!  I walked into Nordstroms wearing a 36A an guess what I walked out wearing?  A 32C.  The cup size I was wearing was correct, but the band was wrong.
And no I am not really a C cup but according to the bra lady I am.  If you drive by the middle school 85% of the girls there are bigger than I am and they are only 13.

Are you asking yourself yet why you are still reading?  I really do have a point!  My clothes fit so much nicer, there are no gaps at the top of my bra!  I can actually wear a lower cut shirt and create the illusion of cleavage all thanks to my new bras!

So, find your closest department store and ask to be fitted for a bra, it's free and you might be surprised!  Thanks to my sister for forcing me to do it!

Umm....Are you serious?

I was planning on showing you the new signs I made for my front step post things today, but I had to show you this instead.

So are you wondering what that is?  That is lint that has accumulated in my dryer for the past 3 years.  Disgusting!  This afternoon my dryer started squealing and I figured a belt or bearing was going out.  So my wonderful brother came over tonight and took my dryer apart and this is what we found.  2 Large kitchen size trash cans and 2 Dyson canisters worth.  YUCK!

Luckily he thinks it is a belt tension pulley thing, I took a picture so I can order the part tomorrow.  He temporarily fixed it with a paper clip and WD-40, hopefully it will last until the part comes in.

But I did find something kind of cool in nasty Lintville.

 2 perfect little lint balls!

**After reading the dryer manual, it says you are supposed to take apart the dryer and clean the lint out every 2 years or sooner depending on how often you use it!  I was only 1 year or 3 pounds of lint late!**

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
