Bras, hate them or love them they are a necessity. Personally I hated them, I think they were invented by men to torture us. Did you notice I said hated? Don't get me wrong I still don't love them but I am much happier after my sister forced me to go to Nordstroms and get properly fitted.

Guess what, I was not wearing the correct bra size, according to the nice lady who helped me 90% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. Holy cow! I was not blessed in the chest department, my share of boobs was split between my sisters hate you! I walked into Nordstroms wearing a 36A an guess what I walked out wearing? A 32C. The cup size I was wearing was correct, but the band was wrong.
And no I am not really a C cup but according to the bra lady I am. If you drive by the middle school 85% of the girls there are bigger than I am and they are only 13.
Are you asking yourself yet why you are still reading? I really do have a point! My clothes fit so much nicer, there are no gaps at the top of my bra! I can actually wear a lower cut shirt and create the illusion of cleavage all thanks to my new bras!
So, find your closest department store and ask to be fitted for a bra, it's free and you might be surprised! Thanks to my sister for forcing me to do it!

Kenzie you are too funny!
One of good friends just had a fitting at Nordys too and said that it was the best thing she did for herself.
Sooo true, many of us are wearing the wrong size. Nordie's rocks!
You're very, very welcome!!
ugh, i've heard this before but i've never forced myself to go... what i'd also like to find is a nice nursing bra...nothing like one of those to make a gal feel good and frumpy! :)

Haha, that's funny! My bras started fitting a lot better when I stopped shopping for them at Victoria Secret. They may not be much to look at now but they sure are way more comfy!!
LOL Kenzie! I can totally relate. I am still waiting for puberty to hit ROFL! We don't have any department stores in our area that have this service. I don't think Penny's does it, and how do you find out?? Ummm...Ma'am...do you offer a boob measuring service here?
I've always wanted to do this, but I'm too chicken to find out what my real bra size is. ;)
egatz! I'm way too scared to let a sales person in the tiny stall with me...I'd likely have nightmares of getting fitted for my first training bra. Having said that, of course, I should likely take you up on your suggestion as I find myself periodically pulling my bra in the middle of the day. Classy.
I had my first bra fitting after my first baby turned 1 (I wanted to give my body a chance to do whatever it was gonig to do...) anyways I swear that day changed my life! Ha! I have had a few fittings done...who knew your chest could change sooo much in the course of having (and nursing) kids! Sheish!
I need to do this.... sigh.
(But if you're a C I am terrified to find out what I am!! Yikes!!!)
SO funny you should post about this b/c my friends and I were talking about this today. There's a woman in town who does custom bras and she's supposedly amazing. I got fitted last summer and spent $85 on the best bra I've ever had. Unfortunately, I've run it into the ground and need a new one. I might need to go see the bra lady....
It's crazy what 'real' bra sizes can actually be. Bra shopping is my nemesis, I absolutely abhor it... especially as I need to spend close to $100 to find a decent fit in my size. Ugh!
You're so right! I just had this done and LOVE my new "real" size. I can wear any tee shirt w/o worrying about bra bulge or anything! Bliss! I have a post planned about this for the coming week as well since I had just seen the light...maybe we'll open some eyes and start a blogging bust revolution! :-)
