Hi!! Did anyone miss me?
{crickets.....}
:) Life has been a little crazy and I have been MIA, but I am back for the night. I am trying to keep up on my 40ish day journey, but I don't know how on track I am, but I am plugging away so that has to count for something!
I am on day 8 but in the interest of keeping you from poking yourself in the eye I thought I would recap days 2 through 5!
Day 2: You are not an accident!!!! Children may be unplanned by their parents, but they are not unplanned by God. God never does anything accidentally and he never makes mistakes! He has a reason for everything he creates, while there are illegitimate parents, there are no illegitimate children.
Day 3: What drives your life? There are 5 major ways people live their life.... *guilt - we are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it
*resentment/anger - living life through anger and resentment, "To worry yourself to death with resentment would be a foolish, senseless thing to do."
*fear - self-imposed prison, that keeps your from becoming what God intends you to be
*materialism - Possessions only provide temporary happiness
*approval - allowing others expectations to control your life
Day 4: Made to last forever! Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to him in eternity. The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears like worries, fear, sadness. There is more to life than just the here and now!
Day 5: Life is a test, life is a trust, and life is a temporary assignment! We are always being tested. God constantly watches our responses to people, problems, success, conflict, illness and disappointment. Just remember....Sometimes God intentionally draws back and we don't sense his closeness. That does not mean he isn't there!!! "God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and to see what was really in his heart."
I hope everyone has a blessed night! Just remember that whatever we are going through God is always there, he is always with us! He will never give us more than we can handle even if it doesn't feel that way sometimes and he is always walking by our sides!

Is this from the book?
I couldn't agree more with what you wrote, or what was written. I say some of those same things all the time in Words of Wisdom. Very insightful. Hugs, and Loves, Jen
I missed ya! ;) I havent started reading yet, but your post is really inspirational, Kenzie. Thanks for sharing with us!
Kenzie, thank you so much. This is great insight! I am intrigued by the part of life being a temporary "assignment" and always being tested. I am getting closer to trying to read the book again. I know I will be glad that I did. You're doing great!
Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm reading and learning!
Love this! Totally sums up my life. I got pregnant with my son when I was only 19. He turns 12 this weekend and my husband and I couldn't imagine life without him, although it wasn't the start in life or marriage that we thought we would have. God has a plan for us and for our family. Sometimes it's hard to see the forest through the trees, but when you can finally step back and see God's plan, it's amazing. Thanks for your insights.

Great reminders Kenzie! Thanks for sharing this...
Wow! Fantastic insights! I have saved your post in reader and have read it several times as well as sharing several times. Because of this post, I've decided to read the book myself as I've been feeling the need to do some soul searching (or God searching?) and get back on the path that He wants me on :) Thank you!
Even though I've read the book, I am enjoying your posts very much! They are great reminders. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for sharing your journey. MH
